MYSTERIOUS STONEHENGE - Standing alone on Salisbury Plain is one of the most important prehistoric monuments in the world, visible from miles around. This is your chance to make up your mind about the mystery that is Stonehenge. Dating back around 5000 years, these ancient stones have puzzled, intrigued and fascinated through the centuries. You will be able to photograph this great monument and hear some of the facts and theories about its purpose. Wonder at the ingenuity and perseverance of ancient man and decide for yourself whether it was a temple or astronomical calendar. See the burial mounds of the pre-historic Bronze Age people and hear about the recent finds which help us to learn even more about our ancestors.

SALISBURY - Salisbury is probably the finest medieval Cathedral in Britain - with the tallest spire (123m/404ft), the best preserved Magna Carta (1215AD), a unique 13th century frieze of bible stories in the octagonal Chapter House, the largest Cloisters and Cathedral Close in Britain and Europe's oldest working clock (1386AD). Boy and Girl Choristers sing daily services, continuing a tradition of worship that goes back nearly 800 years. Tower tours most days. Open every day of the year.

A day in the Garden of England - much of our journey is over the old Pilgrims' Route used by the characters of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

GREENWICH - Leaving central London we follow the course of the river Thames downstream for a photo stop at maritime Greenwich, here we can admire the magnificent riverside buildings of the former Royal Naval College and the National Maritime Museum. The Zero Meridian Line runs through the Old Royal Observatory and we can see, in dry dock, the ‘Cutty Sark’.

Described as England's most beautiful, undiscovered county, Northamptonshire is located right at the heart of rural England. For a truly enchanting experience we will visit the Heart of the Shires Shopping Village and take a trip back in time to an old fashioned and leisurely shopping experience. The beautiful courtyard of model farm buildings constructed in 1867, houses an exquisite array of shops, tea rooms and superb Victorian band stand.

ALTHORP – celebrating 50 years of welcoming visitors, Althorp has been home to the Spencer family for nearly 500 years. In September 1997, the House became the focus of world attention following the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Much of Althorp's charm derives from the sheer beauty of its setting. The House is set in 450 acres of idyllic park, much of which has remained unaltered over the centuries. The House contains a fascinating variety of furniture, ceramics as well as one of the finest collections of portraiture in the world.
